Mildred J. Neff (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mildred Jean Fanning Hiles Neff, daughter of the late Dale Fanning and Emma Lucille Daniels Fanning Richardson, was born November 22, 1929, in McFall, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, February 2, 2014, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, at the age of eighty-four years, two months, and eleven days.
In 1948, she was united in marriage to Carroll Hiles.
On September 12, 1959, she married Bobby Neff, in Kansas City, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; a granddaughter, Kameron Smith; a great-grandson, Brandon Tabor; a great-granddaughter, Peyton Jones a son-in-law, Bill Cooper; and an infant sister, Carol May Fanning.
Mildred is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Mary Hiles, of Brockwell, Arkansas; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Kathy Cooper, of Gasville, Arkansas, Karen and Charles Jones, of Calico Rock, Arkansas, Cleta and Michael Beck, of Oxford, Arkansas, Kay and Curtis Boston, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Bobbi Jean and Gary Smith, of Lebanon, Missouri; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Darrell Ray Fanning, of Cameron, Missouri; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Don Cameron, of Pattonsburg, Missouri; an aunt, Velma (Sis) Jones, of King City, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and good friends.
She spent her life as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she was employed at Baxter Lab in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the Care Center in Lebanon, Missouri, a garment factory in Paris, Arkansas, and Lady Fair Company in Ratcliff, Arkansas.
Mildred followed the Pentecostal faith and was formerly a member of Morningstar Pentecostal Church, near Niangua, Missouri. She currently was a member of Brockwell Pentecostal Church, in Brockwell, Arkansas.
In her early years, she enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Her family was always the center of her life and she treasured each moment that she spent with them.
Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
