Mildred A Shipman (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Mildred Ann Shipman, daughter of Andrew F. and Eunice Ann Cullen Clark, was born, January 15, 1927 in Camden County, Missouri. She departed this life, Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of eighty-seven years, two months and three days.
In 1946, she was united in marriage to Lamon Shipman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Audrey Roth; an infant brother, G.A. Clark and a grandson, Ellis Brown, Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Maudie Gambler and husband Richard of Mounds, Oklahoma; a son, Morse Shipman and wife Colby of Talihina, Oklahoma; a brother, Ken Clark of Camdenton, Missouri; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Mildred was raised in Camden County. She attended school at Pleasant Hill and Camdenton High School. She lived most of her life in and around Camden County and worked as a seamstress.
Mildred made a profession of faith and was a member of Freedom Church of Christ.
She was an active member of Blue Star Mothers of America, Oklahoma Chapter #10. She was a charter member and everyone in the club lovingly referred to her as “Grandma”.
In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She was great at making delicious candy and loved playing Pitch.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
