Milton Ray Duskin (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Milton Ray Duskin was a compassionate man that had a place in his heart for every person he met. He always knew how to put a smile on anyone’s face with his encouraging words and his crazy stories. Milton left this Earth to be with God on July 3rd, 2020 at 7:17 p.m. at 73 years old. He passed peacefully at the VA hospital in Columbia, MO while his wife Patsy was at his side reading him the Bible. Milton was born on January 22nd, 1947 in Competition, MO to Lester & Berneice Duskin. Milton accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and was baptized in 2003 at Elk Creek and was a member of Porter Chapel in Competition. Milton was a very enthusiastic and loving man; he loved being outdoors, working in the yard and the garden, being active in his church, but most importantly, spending time with his big family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to him. There was never a time that you would speak to him and he wouldn’t tell you about how much he loved his family. Milton and his wife Patsy will pass on a love story that will always be remembered; he loved her more than anything and they spent the best 48 years together. His friends and family will always remember Milton’s quirky and fun personality, which includes offering everyone who comes into his home a stick of gum and his stories of serving as a Marine in the Vietnam War. He had a deep-rooted love for this country and taught his family how to carry that on. He also had a great passion for music. If you saw him driving around town or walking around his house, Milton was almost always singing and dancing to his favorite music, including gospel, Johnny Cash, Guns n’ Roses, and The Beach Boys. Milton will always carry a legacy to be remembered and he will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Milton was preceded in death by parents Lester and Berneice Duskin; grandparents Ezra and Carrie Blankenship and Bill and Mae Duskin; and brothers Jackie, Jerry, Marlin, and Michael Duskin.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Patsy Duskin of Lebanon, MO; son Shawn Duskin and wife Monica of Lebanon, MO, son Shane Duskin of Lebanon, MO, son Sham Duskin and wife Melissa of Buffalo, MO; grandchildren Joshua Duskin, Matthew Duskin, Abigail Duskin, Taylor Duskin, Jordan Duskin, Sarah Duskin, Bethanie McNair, and RayAn Duskin; great-grandchildren Evan Duskin and Eli Duskin; sister Donna Kay Pinkston of Willard, MO; and brother Monty Duskin of Springfield, MO. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
