Mindy Jo Gott (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mindy Jo Gott, 36, of Halfway was born Sept 3, 1981, daughter of Richard A & Rebecca L (McCoy) Gott, went to her heavenly home on April 13, 2018.
She graduated Halfway High School in 2000. Mindy was the happiest doing crafts and spending time with family, especially her twin nieces and nephew. She enjoyed being in the country on the farm. She was saved and then joined Providence Missionary Baptist Church in 2009.
Mindy was diagnosed with kidney failure at age 13. She had her first kidney transplant at age 16 and second at age 25. She endured dialysis for many years until her death. In the years of her illness she touched many lives. A very special thank you to Dr. Paul Garvin, Della Aridge, Lisa Lindsey. Also Alalia Kraft, and the wound care team and all nurses and staff that took part and gave her exceptional care at St. Anthony’s Hospital, St Louis, Mo.
Proceeding her in death were her grandparents, Robert and Kay McCoy, Halfway; great grandparents, Heber T. and Opal Gott, Halfway, Floyd and Dorothy Wommack, Buffalo.
She is survived by her parents, sisters and their spouses; Christa and Justin Woods of Willard, Melissa and Bill Whitaker of Bolivar; nephew Jaxon Woods, and nieces Addilyn and Josie Whitaker. Also survived by grandparents T. Allen and Janet Gott, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
