Monty Ray Robertson (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Monty Ray Robertson was born on January 20, 1964, in San Bernardino, California, and passed away at his home in Elkland, Missouri, on March 14, 2025.
Monty grew up in Illinois as well as Missouri. He graduated from Morrisville High School in 1980 before attending Hamilton Technical College, where he studied to become an electrician. He completed his apprenticeship at George Evans Manufacturing, working alongside his father, John Keck.
Monty found joy in “tinkering” in his garage, listening to 80s music, and working on cars. He also enjoyed a good thunderstorm, watching music videos on YouTube and spending time with his family when he could.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Susan (Murphy) of Elkland, Missouri; his 4 daughters Ashley (William) Pratt of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Alyssa (Seth) Denato of Moline, Illinois, Bailey (Catlin) Beals of Davenport, Iowa, and Alison Robertson of Davenport, Iowa; grandsons Jace, Jaxin, Jerrison, and Graysen.
He is also survived by his step father Byron Hinkle, his sisters Kim (Steve Ortiz), Wendy (Charlie) Proctor, Johnna (Sam) Brothers; his stepbrother Ronald (Cheryl) Hinkle, stepsisters Debbie (Randy) Bilderback, Shelly Hinkle, and Nancy Probst, as well as his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Keck, and his mother, Joan Hinkle.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, at Canton-Otterness and Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. Following the visitation, Monty's wishes for cremation will be honored.
In this journey, goodbye is just a pause. The ones we love are never far from our hearts. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
