Johnnie was a first cousin of my late husband, Alan Birdsell. Alan told me a lot of stories about the mischief he and Johnnie got into at school. Nothing bad...just fun. And I remember their aunt, Inez, talking about the "Birdsell boys" with a smile on her lips.
So what I remember most about Johnnie was his laugh. When he laughed his whole face lit up and his eyes just danced. There isn't one particular memory I have of Johnnie. Just a warm memory of a sweet man.
