Nadine Virginia Newman (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Nadine Virginia Newman, daughter of Lewis and Ruby Clinkenbeard Adkins, was born October 26, 1928, in Lebanon, Missouri. She went to meet the Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2020, in her home, in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety-one years, three months, and twelve days.
On October 28, 1961, she was united in marriage to James E. “Jim” Newman, and they shared the last fifty-eight years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Edward C. Massey, Sr.; a son, Craig Massey, Sr.; five brothers; and two sisters.
Nadine is survived by her husband, Jim, of the home; a daughter, Virginia Ann Williams, of Richmond, Missouri; two sons, Edward C. Massey, Jr., and his wife, Janice, of Osceola, Missouri, and Mark James Newman, of Warsaw, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Mindi Schluter, Kindra Jones, Carla Gottschalk, Craig Massey, Jr., Christi Williams, Ryan Small, Sarah McDaris, Annie Reyes-Reveles, Brock Newman, and Ethan Newman; twenty-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Kathryn Jenkins, and Mary VanStavern, both of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Joan Peters, and her husband, Darrell, of Fenton, Missouri, and Helen Adkins, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School. In 1961, she married Jim and they made their home in Camdenton. Nadine continued to be a loving wife and mother, and also worked as the treasurer of Warsaw Food Corporation for a number of years.
Nadine made her profession of faith at an early age and was raised in the First Baptist Church in Lebanon. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Camdenton.
She enjoyed traveling and taking vacation trips. She also liked decorating for the holidays. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nadine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
A memorial has been established to First Baptist Church in Camdenton and may be left at the funeral home.
