Nancee C. Miller (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Nancee Carolyn Miller, daughter of William E. and Hazel Brown Starkweather, was born December 22, 1946, in Muscatine, Iowa. She departed this life Saturday, June 2, 2012, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, five months, and ten days.
On January 5, 1968, in Aledo, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Elwood Lee Miller, and they shared twenty-four years before his passing on August 21, 1992.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Megan Miller; three brothers, Kenneth, Harold, and Joe Starkweather; a sister, Ruth Kleindolph; and her best friend, Karen Long.
Nancee is survived by four daughters, Julie Sterner, and her husband, Merle, of Lebanon, Missouri, June Davis, and her husband, Daniel, of Green River, Wyoming, Helen Buckroyd, and her significant other, Todd Strause, of Muscatine, Iowa, and Glenda Drake, and her husband, Sheldon, of Midland, Texas; three sons, Kenny Miller, and his wife, Marcee, of Wilton, Iowa, Bill Miller, and his wife, Kay, of Chester, Iowa, and Timothy Schwab, of Muscatine, Iowa; twenty-one grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, June Reeves, and her husband, Darrell, and Edith Grubaugh, and her husband, Jim, all of Muscatine, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Muscatine, Iowa, where she attended school. She continued to make her home in Iowa for most of her adult years, and worked as a restaurant cook in addition to being a devoted homemaker. Later, she moved to Wyoming before coming to Missouri.
Nancee had attended Community Baptist Church near Lebanon, Missouri.
In her spare time she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, bowling in a league, and working. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancee was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
