Nancy Jane Leasure (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Nancy Jane Leasure, daughter of Gene and Mary Maxine Porter Atchison, was born November 13, 1950, in Decatur, Illinois. She departed this life Thursday, January 2, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years, one month, and nineteen days.
On September 28, 2013, she was united in marriage to Arron Warren Leasure, and they shared the last three months.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Arron, of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Gibbs, of Decatur, Illinois; a son, Joe Bowery, of the State of Illinois; three grandchildren, Laurel, Eric, and Darrell Gibbs; two great-grandchildren; four step-daughters, Amy Vanderslice, of Blue Springs, Missouri, Amanda Leasure, Tonya Leasure, and Tiffany Leasure, all of Independence, Missouri; two step-sons, Arron Leasure, of the State of North Carolina, and Adam Leasure, of Jefferson City, Missouri; four step-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Hansen, of Kirbyville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois, and graduated from high school there. She then earned her Associates Degree in Accounting. Nancy continued to make her home in the Decatur area, and worked for an insurance agency for several years. Nancy was also a devoted homemaker to her family. Later, she moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area, where she worked in the admissions department of a local hospital. In 2013, she moved to Lebanon.
Nancy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had attended services at the Lebanon church.
She enjoyed playing computer games, and liked going out to eat. She was a very caring and loving person who enjoyed life.
Nancy will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
