Nancy J. Lilley (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Nancy Jane Lilley, daughter of the late William Hadley & Willie Hazel (Hobbs) Thomas, was born on December 10, 1940, in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life on October 24, 2017, at her home in Buffalo, Missouri. At the time of her passing she was 76 years, 10 months and 14 days of age.
Nancy was born in Springfield where she was raised until she moved to Buffalo, Missouri; where she graduated from High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Deryl Lilley in 1960 in Buffalo and to this union two girls were born, both whom survive her. Nancy raised her two girls while working at H&R Block. She then went on to work at A.N.P.A.C as an insurance adjuster for 35+ years until she retired.
She was saved in Springfield, Missouri at High Street Baptist Church and was of the Baptist faith and God’s Church. She loved bowling, going to the casino, and doing alumni Buffalo Gals with Carrie. She also loved to travel and spend time with her family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Deryl; one son-in-law, Brandell Floyd; and one grandson, Brandon Gardner. She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Floyd, and Carrie & her husband, Randy Knapp; two sisters, Sally Cook and Diana & her husband, Larry Grant; two grandchildren, Michael & his wife, Sara Gardner, and Kristin & Cody Prock; and three great-grandchildren, Kynley Gardner, Reece Gardner and Lucas Prock. She was a loving wife and mother who leaves behind many friends and family who will all truly miss her.
