Nancy Ballhagen Moore (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Nancy Lee Ballhagen Moore, daughter of Neven and Helen Mohrlang Bretz, was born April 11, 1940, in Fort Collins, Colorado. She departed this life Saturday, January 16, 2021, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, nine months, and five days.
On June 28, 1959, she was united in marriage to Keith Arthur Ballhagen and to this union two sons were born. Mr. Ballhagen passed away on October 26, 2007.
In 2010, Nancy married Robert “Bob” Moore, and they enjoyed four years before his passing in 2014.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her step-father, Eddie McDonald.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Mitchell Ballhagen, and his wife, Robin, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Richard Ballhagen, and his wife, Tabatha, of Richland, Missouri; three step-children, Judy Moore, Jeanette Schmeltz, and Tim Moore, all of Kansas City, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Colorado and then moved with her family to Los Angeles, California in 1941. She was raised in California and graduated from high school there. She then met and married Keith, and they made their home in California where they lovingly raised their sons. In 1989, the family moved to Lebanon, Missouri and made their home. Nancy was always a devoted homemaker to her family and also owned and operated the Puzzle Store near Lebanon for a number of years.
Nancy was a member of the Lebanon Art Guild, the Route 66 Association, and the Lebanon Elks Lodge. She was a great supporter of Route 66 and always promoted it with her business.
She was an avid reader, she loved to fish, liked doing puzzles and enjoyed collecting decorative glass pieces. She was very artistic and liked painting and doing craft projects. She was a very friendly person with an outgoing personality. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
All services for Nancy Ballhagen Moore will be private under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
