Nanette Kathleen Stokes (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Nanette Kathleen Stokes, affectionately known as "Nanny," passed away on October 19, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on April 27, 1962, she lived a life full of joy, love, and laughter.
Nanny worked at The Workshop in Springfield, Missouri, where she was known for her warmth, dedication, and her joyful interactions with everyone she encountered.
A proud participant in the Special Olympics, Nanny displayed her many talents, particularly in bowling, one of her greatest passions. Her love for Elvis, angels, art, and crossword puzzles brought her countless hours of happiness. Known for her playful and mischievous spirit, Nanny was always teasing and joking with those around her, leaving a lasting impression with her infectious laughter and good-natured sense of humor. She had a natural ability to make people smile.
Nanette was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Stokes, and her siblings George, Gladys Carol, Elizabeth, Joe, and Michael. She is survived by her siblings Delbert, Patsy, Martha, Diana, Samuel, Daniel, Rebekah, Deborah, Pamela, and Teena along with numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will forever cherish her memory and the joy she brought into their lives.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 27, at 1:30 p.m. at Robberson Prairie Cemetery, 3244 W Farm Rd 50, Willard, MO 65781.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her honor to the Special Olympics or Easterseals Midwest, continuing her legacy of kindness and inclusion.
