Naomi Ruth Barton (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Naomi Ruth Barton, daughter of Rudolph and Iva Gann Hildebrand, was born June 11, 1935, in Evening Shade, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, June 24, 2020, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, and thirteen days.
On November 8, 1952, she was united in marriage to Frank Elmo Barton, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank, on April 1, 2014; a son, Brent A. Barton; and three brothers, George, Orbie, and Joe Hildebrand.
Naomi is survived by a daughter, Beverly Ann Brew, and her husband, James, of Greenwood, Indiana; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Erin; two great-grandchildren, Theodore “Teddy” William and Lincoln Matthew; a sister, Patsy Bingham, and her husband, Keith, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Texas County, Missouri, and met her future husband while working with children in a one room school. After marrying, she raised her children in Lebanon, St. Louis, Richland, and West Plains, Missouri over the years. She was always a devoted homemaker to her husband and family. Once her son and daughter graduated from Lebanon High School and moved on to college, Naomi went back to school and earned her GED. Immediately after that she went to work at Dryer Shoe Store for many years. Later, she worked with her husband, Frank, at Western Auto until retiring.
In her spare time she enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, working in her yard, baking, studying genealogy, going to antique stores, and exploring nature with her husband.
Naomi was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at Mount Rose Memorial Park.
