Nellie Elizabeth Nicks (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Elizabeth Morris Nicks, daughter of Charles and Ellen Danuser Morris, was born, April 10, 1927 in Montreal, Missouri. She departed this life, September 15, 2017, in Lakeside Meadows, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety years, five months and five days.
Elizabeth was married to Junior McDowell and later in life married Robert Nicks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Arthur J. McDowell, her second husband Robert Nicks, two daughters, Sharon Soum and Karen Handy, and two granddaughters, Malissa Leap and Tabitha Nicks.
She is survived by her four daughters, Caroline Cotton and husband David of Eldon, Missouri, Linda Melton of Gilmer, Texas, Patsy Shellenberger of Camdenton, Missouri, and Judy McDowell of Tipton, Missouri,; three sons, Gary McDowell and wife Sue of Lawson, Missouri, Larry McDowell of Montreal, Missouri and Bobby Nicks and wife Stacey of Tipton, Missouri,; twenty four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great greatgrandchildren,; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Elizabeth was raised in the Montreal area and lived most of her life here in the area except for five years when she lived in Peoria, Illinois.
Elizabeth was saved at an early age.
In her spare time Elizabeth could be found going to the local garage sales. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
