Nina Thirion Ross (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Nina Mae Thirion Ross, age 81, of Bolivar, MO, passed away Thursday, November 17th 2016. She was born April 20th 1935 to Richard and Rosie Payne.
She was united in marriage to James E. Ross in 1951 and in 1972 married Walt Thirioin after his passing she remarried James Ross. To this union five children were born.
Nina was well known for her home cooking and taking care of the Elderly. She owned and operated Thirion Rest Home for many years and took care of them at her home in later years.
Nina was saved at an early age, and was also a member of the Goodson Missionary Baptist Church.
Nina is preceded in death by her parents and two husband; five brothers; one sister, and son-in-law.
She is survived by two daughters, Pat Wilson and her husband Dale, Brenda Gunnels and fiend Kurt; three sons, Jerry Ross and friend Phillis, Danny Ross and wife Vickie, Jimmy and wife Kim; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2great-great-grandhcildren; sister, Suzie Walks; two brothers, Dale Payne and Ray Gene Payne; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
B.J. Payne will be conducting graveside service at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Schofield Cemetery south of Halfway. Her son's Jim Thirion, Danny Ross and Jerry Ross and grandson's Kevin Gunnels, Gordon Gunnels, Colby Ross, Andrew Thirion and Joel Thirion will be active pallbearers. James Ross, Justin Ross, Dale Wilson and Kurt, Myers will be honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held 5-7:00 PM Monday, November, 21, 2016 at the Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar, MO. Memorial contributions may to be made to the American Legion.
