Noel Eugene Cantrell (Seymour)'s Obituary
Noel Eugene Cantrell, of Marshfield, Missouri, and long-time Webster County resident, departed this life Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Cox Hospital in Springfield, at the age of sixty-seven years, eight months and one day.
Noel was born July 19, 1946, the third of five children born to the late Monroe Cantrell and Luciel (Bennett) Cantrell. He was raised in Webster County, spending most of his years in the rural area between Seymour and Marshfield and was a graduate of the Marshfield High School Class of 1964. Noel farmed and worked at Hutchens Industries in Seymour until 1982, then dedicated himself solely to farming. He liked the outdoors and fishing at Stockton Lake, but he truly enjoyed shooting his bow and was quite skilled at archery. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ and attended church for several years. Noel was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Cantrell. He leaves behind four children, daughter, Louise Bigley and family of Marshfield, Missouri; son, Vance Cantrell; daughter, Suzanne Cantrell; and son, Dennis Cantrell, all of Rogersville, Missouri; his mother, Luciel Cantrell of Seymour, Missouri; two brothers, Phillip Cantrell and wife Carla, of Seymour; and Steve Cantrell and wife Linda, of Seymour; two sisters, Patsy Hicks of Seymour; and Rosalee King and husband Howard, of Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren, Chelsee and Tuff Cantrell; several nieces, nephews and extended family, friends and neighbors. Noel will be remembered as a loving son, brother, father and grandfather, a loyal friend, and a hard-working man to the very end. We take this time to honor his life and accomplishments. Noel Cantrell will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
