Noel is survived by her husband, Greg; a daughter, Jennifer Rossi, and her husband, Major Jason Rossi, of Shaw AFB, South Carolina; an aunt, Pat Thorp, of the State of Washington; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in San Diego, California, and was raised in various places while her father served a long career in the United States Navy. On September 1, 1976, she joined the United States Air Force and served her country faithfully until being honorably discharged on October 2, 1979, after the birth of her daughter. Her first Air Force assignment was as a Law Enforcement specialist at Edwards
Air Force Base, California, where she met her future husband, Greg. After they were married, they made their home in many locations including Washington, California, Japan, Hawaii, and then Albuquerque, New Mexico. During this time, Noel was a devoted homemaker to her family and held various secretarial and administrator professional positions throughout the last 30+ years. The family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, in 2003, and made their new home. Noel served as a loving caregiver to her mother during her final years, and returned to administrative work last year as a Program Support Specialist in the Human Services Research & Development section at Roudebush Veterans Medical Center in Indianapolis.
In her spare time, she enjoyed working on arts and craft projects and was an avid shopper. Those who knew her best report she received her greatest satisfaction in life from helping and spreading joy to others.
Noel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and niece; and a caring coworker, neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
