Nolan "Coy" Carter (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Nolan Coy Carter, age 29, passed away on August 31, 2022 in Bolivar, MO.
Coy was born April 26, 1993 in Springfield, MO to his mother, Elizabeth “Kellye” Fleming and father, Johnny E. Carter, Jr.
Coy became his greatest achievement, being a father, to his first born, Delilah Harms on October 8, 2012.
On October 3, 2015 he was married to his wife, Ashley Carter in Fair Grove, MO. Together they have 3 children, Alecia Carter, age 9; McKenna Carter, age 7 and Jebediah Carter, age 5.
Coy was and will remain a wonderful husband, father, son and friend. He was best known for the love he had for his family and being an avid fisherman. In his free time, he would work on cars for his family and friends, fishing and hunting. You could often find him and his wife hosting BBQ's and parties, where he was always the life of the party due to his infectious laugh and smile.
For work, Coy was employed with Easter Seals Midwest, where he was a Direct Support Care Professional. He was also a part of the city of Bolivar’s CERT Program which allowed him to be able to provide first-aid care to the public in the event of an emergency. Coy was always willing to give a helping hand whenever he could.
Coy is survived by his wife, Ashley Carter and their 3 children, Alecia, McKenna and Jebediah of Bolivar, MO and his daughter, Delilah Harms of Oscoda, MI from a previous relationship. His mother, Kellye Fleming of Springfield, MO; his father and stepmom, John and Sabrina Carter; brother, Cody Carter; sister, Tallana Carter and nephew, Brixlee Carter, all of Mansfield, MO; his long-term childhood best friend/chosen brother, Landon Attaway of Fair Grove, MO as well as a multitude of other family members and close friends that considered him family.
Coy is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Biddie Carter; his step-grandfather, Dwight Swearengin; his papa, Ronald Fleming; his granny, Betty Fleming and uncle, Patrick Fleming.
Services for Coy will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 6 P.M. in Butler Funeral Home Bolivar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
