Nora Lee Neill (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Nora Lee Neill, 85, Bolivar, MO, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Park View Health Care in Bolivar, MO.
Nora Lee (Wright) Neill was born April 30, 1930, in Aldrich, Missouri to Marvin and Lucille (Courtney) Wright. She passed away at Parkview Health Care Facility in Bolivar, on March 3, 2016. She grew up on a farm in Aldrich, Missouri and was a fifth generation Polk County Resident. Nora Lee graduated from Aldrich High School in 1948 as Valedictorian of her class.
On March 4, 1950, she and Thomas J. Neill were married in Fair Play Missouri. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2000. In 1956, Nora Lee began working for the Polk County
ASCS-USDA and was an exemplary employee for thirty-two years. She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary, the Aldrich United Methodist Church, and the Senate Bill 40 Board. One of her favorite hobbies was cross stitching quilt blocks. The quilts made from these blocks were given to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; a granddaughter, Erin Lee Neill; a brother, Robert Lewis Wright; and a son-in- law, John S. Pufahl.
Nora Lee is survived by a son, Joe L. Neill and wife, Magda of Bolivar; a daughter, N. Sue Taylor and husband, Reggie, also of Bolivar; a son, Michael T. Neill and wife, Marinda, of Charles City, Virginia; a granddaughter, Lee Ann McGee, a grandson, Robert and wife, Stacey, of Columbia, Missouri; a granddaughter, Jean M. Nyberg and husband John of Fair Grove, Missouri; and grandsons, Elijah T. Neill, of Charles City, Virginia; grandson, Jacob Bailey of Charles City, Virginia. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren, Anika and Nicholas Nyberg, Rhett Pufahl, Morgan Miller, a sister-in-law, Retha Wright, and a brother-in-law, B.J. Neill and wife, Virginia.
Nora Lee was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and great grandmother. She always offered love, support and encouragement to her family. She will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
