Nora M. Owens (Hartville)'s Obituary
Nora Myrtle Owens, daughter of William Andrew Jackson and Lillie Kate (Kirk) Mace, was born November 8, 1920, in Mullinsville, Kansas. She departed this life Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in Hartville Care Center, in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of ninety years, five months and eleven days.
On March 27, 1942, she married Charley Chester Owens, who preceded her in death on January 17, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Archie, Wayne and Bobby Owens; a daughter, Sharon Marie Owens; two
grandsons, Jeremy Owens and Cody Fuller; a granddaughter, Janice Owens; three brothers, James, Leroy and A.J. Mace; three sisters, Georgia Keeling, Nola Watts and Stella Tabor.
Nora is survived by three daughters, Darlene Gardner of Shawnee, Kansas, Wanda Johnston of Calera, Oklahoma, and Sandra DeBoard of Chadwick, Missouri; three sons, Charley Cook and Jerry Owens both of McLouth, Kansas, and Jack Owens of Marshfield, Missouri; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Fullington of Hartville, Missouri, and Joan Stockwell of Marshfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Born in Kansas, the family moved to the Rader, Missouri area when she was young. After her father died, they moved to Hartville. Most of her life was lived in the Hartville and Mountain Grove, except several years the family lived in Kansas City.
Nora had professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She loved going to church and enjoyed her fellowship there. She was a dedicated wife and homemaker and loved caring for her family, especially sharing a banana with her daughter.
In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, flowers, and going on fishing outings.
Nora was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. The memories of her sweet loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
