Nora Neal (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Nora Gladys Neal went to her heavenly home March 5, 2016.
She was born on March 10, 1917, in Halfway, Missouri to parents George Elby and Dollie Ellen (Bishop) Sullivan. Nora was immersed in a Christian community from the time she was young, and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior when she was only seven years old. She had what some would call a “simple faith.” She loved Jesus, sought to know him more throughout her life, and loved others more because of it. She remained a faithful servant of the Lord, and to cite one her favorite hymns, would say, “I will cling to the old rugged cross.”
Nora was blessed to have a large loving family. She married Charley (Chuck) Neal on August 27, 1937, in Bolivar, Missouri. Nora was a devoted mother, and has always had a passion to care for her family. Her family adored her, and she will be sorely missed by many. Her legacy is her family that were all brought closer together because of her love and compassion.
She is survived by her son, Charles; four siblings, Hazel, John L., Ernie, and Vernie; seven grandchildren, Dana, Kimberly, Eric, Russell, Cindy, Richard, and Ronald; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, in 1992; son, Bobby, in 1993; and son, Orville, in 2004.
Burial will be at the Barnsdale Cemetery in Fillmore, California on March 18, 2016
