Norma Jean Rippee (Mansfield)'s Obituary
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 8 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Holman Howe Chapel, Mansfield for long time resident Norma "Jean" Rippee, 84. Pastor Ronnie Baker will lead the gathering.
Jean was born at home in Mansfield along with her twin sister June on January 24, 1928 and made her "transition" to Heaven on May 31 at the Rocky Ridge Nursing home with nurse Valarie Patton by her side. She was well loved and cared for by all the staff at Rocky Ridge and she had a very special little friend who would come see her and spend time with her, Kaitlyn Baughman.
Having lived her whole life in Mansfield she knew just about everyone and devoted her time helping her mother Maude until her death.
Jean loved the Lord and served him well, and always told her family, "He's coming soon, live like it!"
In her younger years she loved softball and was a great pitcher and lets not forget how she could "jitterbug" !!!! Jean enjoyed fishing and chocolate.
She was predeceased by her parents, Daunt and Maude Rippee; sister, Francis Randolph; and her brother "Bud" Rippee.
Jean is survived by her twin sister, Erma June Sketo as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins who love her very much. She was absolutely adored by all of us!!!
