Quilting, visiting, cooking, hosting - sweet memories of Aunt Jo. As a little girl, I'd follow her around chattering and she'd smile and listen. At her house, I didn't have chores to do like I did at home, so that was a special time. As an adult, retired and living in Springfield, I attended writing groups in Lebanon and stayed overnight with my aunt. It was her turn to talk and for me to listen as she reminisced, shared her latest quilts-in-progress, and any new family pictures. Widowed twice, she had many memories. In the morning, she'd make breakfast, never letting me help, and I'd be on my way. We had a special bond.
