Norma Ann Pitts (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Norma Ann Pitts, youngest child of Paul and May Morrison was born on April 11, 1932, in Humansville, Missouri and departed this life on December 13, 2024, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield at the age of 92.
On May 3, 1952, she married G. J. Pitts, Jr, who preceded her in death. To this union, two sons were born: Jeff and John.
Norma was converted and joined the Humansville Methodist Church at the age of 14, where she remained as a member until her passing.
She was a 50 year member of the Rural Letter Carrier’s Auxiliary and a member of the Pleasant Hour Club of Flemington. She was on staff at Big Spring Care Center of Humansville where she served as Bookkeeper, Activity Director, and finally Administrator for a total of 21 years of service.
Norma also served on the Polk County Health Board, The Louisburg Vo-Tech Advisory Board and held offices in the Missouri Rural Letter Carriers Auxiliary.
Surviving are her sons Jeff (Linda) of Battlefield, Missouri, John (Val) of Long Beach, California, Grandsons Bart (Ladawanna), Robert (Layne) of Springfield, and a step granddaughter Emily (Nathan) of St. Louis She also leaves 5 great grandchildren, Tiara, Ethan, Xavier, Gabrielle and Jacob
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Flemington Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Flemington Cemetery or to the American Cancer Society.
