Jean is survived by her daughter, Lena Linn, of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Marcus Sharp, and his wife, Robin, and Monica Caudle, and her husband, Brad, all of Conway, Missouri, Jeff McSpadden, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Nancy McSpadden, of Rapid City, South Dakota; seven great-grandchildren, Morgan, Grant, Jimmy, Jozey, Jacob, Aaron, and Andrew; three brothers, Russel Burns, and his wife, Mildred, of Springfield, Missouri, Bob Burns, and his wife, Nola, of Conway, Missouri, and Jack Burns, and his wife, Rose, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; several cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. She was born and raised in the Phillipsburg community, and graduated from Conway High School. After she and Allen were married, they made their home on their dairy farm, near Conway, and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family, Jean also helped in the operation of the family farm, working along side her husband. She continued in this operation for over forty-one years. Jean made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was an active member of Washington Christian Church for many years. She greatly enjoyed reading her Bible. In her spare time she enjoyed tracing her family history and doing genealogical studies. She also liked to travel while her health allowed, enjoyed collecting quilts, and was an avid reader. She loved life on the farm and spending time with her family. Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Washington Cemetery.
