Norman Curl (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Norman Dale Curl, age 85, of Bolivar, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday morning, January 19, 2012, at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar.
Norman was born on August 16, 1926 in Dunnegan, Missouri, the son of Ernest H. Curl and Mabel (Hopkins) Curl.
Norman was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge he went to work with Boeing as an Aircraft Production Planner. Norman stayed working there for 37 years. Norman was a faithful member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri. Norman enjoyed working with his hands. He was woodworker, and enjoyed constructing model planes. On November 5, 1995, Norman was united in marriage to Juanita “Cricket” Roach in Bolivar, Missouri.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents; Ernest and Mabel Curl, his sister; Barbara Carson, and his daughter; Cathryn Watts.
Norman is survived by his wife; Juanita Curl of the home, two sisters; Juanita B. Foster of Bolivar, Missouri and Dixie G. Mayse of Springfield, Missouri, a brother; Bueford C. Curl and his wife Neta of Dunnegan, Missouri, two grandsons; Todd Grant and his wife Penny of Morrisville, Missouri, and Scott Grant and his wife Tammy of Morrisville, Missouri, four great-grandchildren; Hillary Manning and her husband Trent of Grove Springs, Missouri, Madison Grant of Morrisville, Missouri, Hadden Grant of Morrisville, Missouri, and Brock Grant of Morrisville, Missouri, and numerous nieces and nephews that will forever miss him.
Funeral service for Norman will be held at 2:00pm, January 23, 2012 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Brother Mike Foster officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm prior to service time at the Butler Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri.
