Norman "Jerry" Mitchell (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Norman Curtis (Jerry) Mitchell, Louisburg, MO son of Basil and Bertha (Kensinger) Mitchell, was born on December 25, 1933, in Marshfield, MO and departed this life on February 18, 2024, at the age of 90. Jerry lived in the Galena, Ponce De Leon area for many years where he was saved, baptized and raised his family but moved to the Louisburg, MO area for the last eight years. Jerry worked for the Consumers Grocery Store business for many years before opening his own business of groceries, gas, and feeds.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Basil and Bertha Mitchell, a brother Bobby and sister-in-law Doris Mitchell, a niece Sandy and brother-in-law Larry Clines.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dixie Mitchell of Louisburg, MO. Daughter, Terry Russell and her husband Tim of Ponce De Leon, MO and their children Curtis Russell, his wife Tiffany of Bolivar, MO and their son Phoenix. Ashlee Rust and her husband Ronnie of Nixa, MO and their son Isaiah. Son, Mark Mitchell and his wife Brenda of Highlandville, MO. Their daughters, Heather King and her husband Jaredd of Clever, MO and their daughters Lanie, Rylea, and Maycee. Jessie Foster and her husband Kyle of Clever, MO and their children Brentley, Aubree, and Owen. One sister, Judy Procter and brother-in-law Leon and their son Johnny. One sister-in-law Betty Clines and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. in the Louisburg Cemetery in Louisburg, MO with family and friends officiating. Escorts will be Mark Mitchell, Tim Russell, Curt Russell, Jaredd King, Kyle Foster, Larry Dean Clines, Robert Clines, and Nick Forbes. Honorary escorts will be Ronnie Rust, Leon Proctor, and Johnny Ray. Services are under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
