Norman Spearing (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Norman Spearing age 91, of Bolivar, formerly of Warsaw, MO. Teal Bend Community, passed into eternal life Wednesday afternoon on November 5, 2014 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO. He had been a resident at Citizens Memorial Health Care Facility since October 10, 2014. Norman was born on October 15, 1923 in rural Stover, MO. The son of Emma (Witte) Spearing and Henry Spearing who both preceded him in death.
He was a US Army Veteran of WWII serving in the Armored Division. After discharge he worked for various farmers in the Stover area and then went to Kansas City and worked at Purina Mills, then for a short time at the Santa Fe RR in Wichita, KS. IN 1952 he and his friend Kenneth Brown moved to the Teal Bend Area near the Grand River ( now part of Truman Lake). Norman was a Radio/TV installer and repairman and did other jobs in the camp.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Brothers Edwill (Red); Walter, Irvin (Bert), sisters; Alma (Spearing) Eskridge, Nora (Spearing) Lance and their spouses.
Norman is Survived by his brother, Emmet Spearing of Bolivar, MO. Three Nieces; Connie Jansen, Lynda Shrader, and Mary Smith. and three nephews; Russell (Mark), Ralph and Charles (Chuck) Lance and their spouses.
No Services are planned at this time. Interment will be at the Pyrmont Trinity Lutheran Cemetery (rural Stover, MO) at a later date.
Mr. Spearing is under the care and direction of Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar. MO.
