O. D. Walker (Urbana)'s Obituary
Odus Dillion “O.D.” Walker, 85, was born near Urbana, Missouri, on March 7, 1935 to Odus and Vesta (Dillion) Walker and departed this life on September 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.
O.D. was united in marriage on January 28, 1956, to Carol (Etherton) Walker and to this union two children were born: Verna Lucille and Barry Curtis.
An accomplished carpenter and farmer, O.D. spent most of his life in the Urbana/Elixir communities.
He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife. He is survived by a daughter, Verna, of the home; son Barry and wife Madonna Preston; granddaughter, Melody Midgely, and husband Jon Preston; grandson Bradley Walker, Preston and great-granddaughter, Shyla.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020 in the Bower Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Terry Gentry Sr. officiating
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Urbana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Citizens Memorial Hospital Hospice or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospice.
