Oleta (Hunt) Berry (Seymour)'s Obituary
Oleta (Hunt) Berry, daughter of Joseph Lenox and Eunice (Davis) Hunt, peacefully departed this life Friday, May 16, 2014, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri, with her son at her side. She’d lived to the age of ninety-two years, eleven months and twenty-seven days.
Oleta was born May 19, 1921, in Seymour, Missouri, where she would spend her entire life. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Williams’ Grocery. She became a seamstress and machine operator for H.D. Lee in Seymour where she worked until her retirement in the mid-1990s.
Oleta was a hard-working woman for all of her years and a very devoted mother to her two children, Janice and Maurice. She was kind and friendly and a genuinely sweet lady.
In addition to her parents, Oleta was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Hopkins; grandson, Jeff Hopkins; and brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and Geraldine Hunt. She is survived by her son, Maurice Hunt of Seymour; and niece, Donna Young of Kansas City, Missouri.
