Ora Wayne Garrison (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Ora Wayne Garrison, age 87, of Springfield, Missouri entered into rest on Saturday April 27, 2024.
Wayne was born on May 28, 1936, in Celt, Missouri, to the late Ora and Roxie (Cross) Garrison. He was saved as a young boy. Growing up around Mill Creek, Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing. He graduated from Tunas High School and then entered the United States Army. On October 16, 1960, Wayne was united in marriage to Marilyn Marsh. To this union one daughter was born, Cynthia Deneen. Wayne saw Marilyn while he was cruising the Buffalo square, and it was love at first sight for him. Together, Wayne and Marilyn moved to Marshall, Missouri to build their life. Wayne worked as a residential home building contractor. Following retirement, Wayne and Marilyn moved to Springfield, Missouri. To fill his time, Wayne repaired equine saddles and hunted prairie dogs.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brother Warren Garrison, and brother-in-law Kenny McDaniel. He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn, daughter Cindi Musick and husband Dan, grandchildren Laura Barber and husband Travis, and Brock Musick and wife Brooke, great grandchild Olivia Barber, and baby Musick due in August, sisters Eileen Batty and Joann Young, sisters-in-law Evelyn McDaniel and Brenda Howard and husband Jerry, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo, Missouri with Brother Doyal Mayfield officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo, Missouri.
