Oral Lightfoot's Obituary
Mr. Oral Eugene ?Gene? Lightfoot, age 76 of Polk, Missouri passed away on Tuesday evening, October 4, 2011 at Brookhaven Health Care in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born August 3, 1935 in Polk, Missouri to J.C. Lightfoot and Stella M. (Brown) Lightfoot.
Gene served in the United States Military from 1958 to 1961. On September 2, 1961 he married Carolyn L. Kimberling-Wilken in Miami, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Oral Eugene Lightfoot and a daughter; Shelly Lightfoot.
Gene is survived by his wife; Carolyn L. Lightfoot of the home, one son; Carl ?Tony? Wilken and his wife Debbie of Urbana, Missouri, one daughter; Sheila Shaff and her husband Daniel of Pittsburg, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers; Jerald Lightfoot and his wife Bernice of Polk, Missouri, Donnie Lightfoot and his wife Jeannette of Polk, Missouri, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, October 7, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Brother Jerry Crain and Brother Curtis Howard officiating. Musical selections will be ?Victory In Jesus?, ?I Feel Like Traveling On? and ?Amazing Grace?. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery in Polk, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday evening at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
