He departed this life April 11, 2008, as the result of an accident, near Hartville, Missouri, at the age of forty-three years, three months and eleven days. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Bonna and Lowell Young. Bud is survived by his father and step-mother, Arkie and Barbara Roberts, of Kansas City, Kansas; five sisters, Bonna Sue Hutson, and husband, Jeff, of Milford, Ohio, Kathy Locklear, and husband, Darby, of Lumberton, North Carolina, Debra Beatty, and husband, Terry, of Kansas City, Kansas, Pamela Hampton, of Kansas City, Kansas, and Teresa Wilson, and husband, Adam, of Kansas City, Kansas; a host of other step-brothers and step-sisters; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many other relatives and friends. He was born and reared in Kansas City, Kansas, where he attended school. While living in Kansas City, Bud worked for the BFI Company for many years. In the mid 1980s he moved with his family to Hartville, where he has resided since. Bud was a good neighbor, always willing to help others. Through the years he worked doing lawn and yard work. Bud had professed his faith in Christ. His family was very special to him and his sentimental heart was reflected in remembrances of cards and phone calls on their special days. Fast cars and motorcycles always thrilled him, and he liked to work on them. Everyone enjoyed his keen sense of humor. Bud was a loving son, brother, step-brother, and uncle, and was a caring friend. He will be fondly remembered and missed. We celebrate his life and the wonderful memories he created, and they will live in our hearts forever. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Hartville. Burial will be in the Thomas Cemetery, Norwood, Missouri. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri. Return to top
