Oveta Faye Richardson (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Oveta Faye Richardson, daughter of the late Early D. and Zella (Duncan) Hildebrand, was born on April 23, 1930 in Windyville, MO and departed this life on September 11, 2023 in Kansas City, Kansas. At the time of her passing she was 93 years, four months, and 17 days of age.
Oveta was raised in Windyville and after her schooling she went to work for Colgate Palmolive. She loved spending time with her family and getting to see her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great-granddaughter.
Oveta was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James Warren Richardson; and eight siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Mae & husband Steve Houk of Kansas City, Kansas; four grandchildren, Andrew Bryant, Nicole Tarantino, Aaron & wife Crecinda Houk, and Cambree & husband Ronny Vogel; four great-grandchildren, Seria Homes, Bryant Houk, Logan Vogel, and Lydia Vogel; and one great-great-granddaughter, Emma Weber. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly mis her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Skinner officiating. Escorts will be Aaron Houk, Bryant Houk, Ronny Vogel, Logan Vogal, Garrell Dean Weeks, and Lyndol Gale Weeks. Interment will be in the Lone Rock Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the Funeral Home.
