Ovid "Jay" Faust (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Ovid Ferrell “Jay” Faust, son of Ovid and Glennis Cardin Faust, was born March 6, 1945, near Niangua, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, April 23, 2017, in Mari de Villa Nursing Home, in Chesterfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, one month, and seventeen days.
His parents preceded him in death.
Ovid is survived by his wife, Terri, of Independence, Missouri; a daughter Michelle Nichols, and her husband, Barton, of Joplin, Missouri; two grandchildren, Emily and Josiah Nichols; two sisters, Louise Dodson, and her husband, John, of Lenexa, Kansas, and Marlene McBee, of Mount Vernon, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was raised on the family farm in the Phillipsburg, community, and attended Buffalo High School. He then graduated from Conway High School. He lived in Kansas City, Missouri for twenty years, and then made his home in the St. Louis area for the last thirty years. He had worked in the food and medical health care supply business for many years.
In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf and hunting. He enjoyed going to auctions to look for antiques and had obtained his auctioneering license. He was a fun loving person and had a delightful sense of humor. He had a generous heart and was always willing to help others. His family is very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Jay was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We know he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by family and friends.
A memorial has been established to the New Hope Cemetery.
