Owen lived his entire life at Hartville, with the exception of a few years in Arkansas working construction. He worked hard, loved his family and was a faithful Deacon of the First Baptist Church Hartville. He was an excellent handy man, with a bulldozer, backhoe and wonderful woodworking skills; perfect for helping add an addition to the Little Creek Church at Hartville, which he faithfully and selflessly did and enjoyed doing. Owen dedicated a lot of his time and service to his church. He was a member of the Little Creek Cemetery Board and the former Brushcreek Township.
Owen enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, gardening and farming, but most of all he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa, great-great-grandpa, brother, uncle and dear friend. We celebrate his wonderful life and will always cherish the many happy memories he created.
