Patricia Bartel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Patricia Lea Bartel, daughter of Leonard Roy and Barbara Marie Jones Wilhite, was born August 14, 1949, in Emporia, Kansas. She departed this life Thursday, September 9, 2010, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, and twenty-five days.
On November 14, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dennis L. Bartel, and to this union one son was born.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Dennis, of the home; a son, Eric Bartel, and his wife, Virginia, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Bart, Chris, Riley, Nathan, and Halea; three brothers, Mike Wilhite, and Bob Wilhite, both of Emporia, Kansas, and Bill Wilhite, of Exeter, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Emporia, Kansas, and graduated from Hartford High School in Hartford, Kansas. After she and Dennis were married, they made their home in various locations before moving to Missouri in 1988. Throughout these years, Patricia was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her family. In 1993, Patricia began a career with the Copeland Corporation in Lebanon.
In her spare time she enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and working in her garden. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed having her grandchildren around her.
Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
