Patricia M. Best (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Patricia “Pat” Marie Best was born March 23, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edwin and Kathryn Cordry Apenbrinck. She passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in Strafford, Missouri at the age of seventy-three years, eleven months and two days.
Pat was raised in St. Charles, Missouri and moved to the Lebanon area in 1979. She and her first husband, Rick Rothwell, started their family business, Siding Wholesalers of Missouri. Pat worked alongside him for many years while raising their four children.
She married Jay Best. She continued in the family business until her health wouldn’t allow it.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Kathryn; her loving husbands, Rick Rothwell and Jay Best, who passed away October 6, 2024; her brother, Ron Apenbrinck; and her aunt Bessie Martin Featherstone.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Kathy Robinson of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Jeff Rothwell and his wife Rachel of Strafford, Missouri, Mike Rothwell of Marshfield, Missouri and Ricky Rothwell and his wife Audrey of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Shelby, Carley, Jordyn, Jessica, Joshua, Gracelyn, Allison and Adeline; one great-granddaughter, Sophia; one niece, Deb Okilee; and two great-nieces, Norah Okilee and Nadia Okilee.
Pat loved animals, especially Basset Hounds. She and Jay liked attending car shows. She also enjoyed bird watching and had a fondness for Mickey Mouse and watching cooking shows. She looked forward to eating out at T’s Redneck Steakhouse with Stan and Tina Akers.
More than anything, Pat loved being with her children and grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she enjoyed her time with them.
She loved her family and was a big part of their lives. Pat was a hard working lady and was always supportive of her family and loved ones. She was present in their lives in a meaningful way and she will be so very missed.
Funeral service for Patricia Best will be Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 10 a.m.at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, February 28 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park.
A memorial to Claws and Paws has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
