Patricia L. Camper (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Patricia Louise Camper, daughter of the late John and Erma (Davenport) Combs, was born on February 14, 1945 in Chicago, IL, and departed this life on April 28, 2019 in Bolivar, MO. At the time of her passing she was 74 years old.
Pat lived in Chesapeake, Virginia for 35 years where she raised her three children and was a devoted softball, baseball and band parent alongside her husband of 54 years, Windell Camper. She moved to Buffalo, MO to be closer to her sisters after retirement, enjoying family dinners and most of all, time together to sit and talk. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her and of course, her family favorite chocolate pie!
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Johnny Combs and Isaac Combs, and one sister, Jo King. She is survived by her husband Windell of the home; one son, Windell Jr. and Tracey Camper of Pittsburgh, PA; two daughters, Melissa Elaine Camper of Columbia, MO and Patti Michele Camper of Pittsburgh, PA; three grandchildren, Burke Camper, Jeremy Camper, and Patti Camper; one brother, Steven Combs of Chicago, IL; and five sisters, Shirley Thurman of Peru, IL, Pearlie White of Lebanon, MO, Wilma Kincade of Republic, MO, Leona Low of Urbana, MO, and Elaine Brown of Bolivar, MO. She also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Rev. Angela Olsen officiating. Escorts will be her siblings, Steven Combs, Shirley Thurman, Pearlie White, Wilma Kincade, Leona Low, and Elaine Brown. Interment will be in the Maple Lawn Cemetery under the direction and care of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
