Patricia Marie Emens (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Patricia Marie Emens, daughter of Jake and Margaret Barr Korthuis, was born January 24, 1941, in Bellingham, Washington. She departed this life Thursday, March 5, 2020, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, one month, and twelve days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Arlene Foigt.
Patricia is survived by a daughter, Ginger Routh, and her husband, Randall, of Hermitage, Missouri; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Oregon and Washington and after graduating from high school, she entered the military. She served her country faithfully in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, Arizona for four years while she worked in military intelligence. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Patricia returned to Washington and worked for Boeing Aircraft before moving to California, where she was an apartment house manager. She then began working as an insurance adjuster for Allstate Insurance Company.
She enjoyed doing embroidery and loved ceramics. She was a breast cancer survivor and loved her family dearly. She moved to Lebanon, Missouri for the last few years.
Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
