Patricia Hayes (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Patricia Darlene Hayes, 63 of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at her residence in Bolivar.
Patricia (Pat) was born on January 2, 1960, in Tulare, California to Edward Kates and Naomi Faulkner Kates.
Pat grew up between California and Southwest Missouri and attended high school in Ventura, California. After High School, Pat worked in different jobs around the country including in the casinos in Las Vegas.
After some time, she moved back to Bolivar, working for the local T-Shirt factory until it closed. Afterwards, she began working at McDonald’s in Bolivar, staying there for 15 years before she was unable to continue working due to her health.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Edward and Naomi; one sister, Marlyn Huffstedter, three brothers: Robert Kates, Dale Kates, and Eddie Kates.
Pat is survived by her three children: Robert Martin, Jeannie Copps and Ralph Martin, Her brother James Kates, and sister Ruth Kates along with many cousins relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held at Butler Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 4:00 PM. After the viewing, friends and family will gather for a memorial service starting at 6:00 PM at Bolivar Pentecostal Church of God.
