Patricia Joan Cox's Obituary
Patricia Joan Cox, daughter of Clarence and Alice (Williams) Krider, was born August 13, 1940 in Mansfield, Missouri. She departed this life, Monday, July 9, 2007 in Cox Walnut Lawn, Springfield, Missouri at the age of sixty-six years, ten months, and twenty-six days. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as one brother, David “Butch” Krider. Patricia is survived by three sisters, Sandy Ivy, of Safford, Arizona, Judy Duncan and her husband, Pat, of Killeen, Texas, and Vicki True, of Harrison, Arkansas; a cousin who was like a sister to her, Earline (Woodland) Warrick, and her husband, Sidney, of Springfield, Missouri; her foster children, whom she loved as her own, Charles and Cindy McCall, Norma Sue, Marshall Dean, and Tommy Green; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Patricia spent all of her childhood in the Mansfield area where she was a graduate of Mansfield High School in the Class of 1958. Shortly after graduating from high school, Patricia moved to Mountain Grove where she would spend the rest of her life. In 1990, she graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in Education. Patricia had made her profession of faith in Christ at a very early age. She worked numerous elections in Wright County, as an election judge, and was a foster parent for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, cooking, working puzzle books, and camping. Patricia was a loving sister, cousin, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2007, in the Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5 - 7:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri.
