Patricia Rentz (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Patricia Ann Rentz, daughter of James and Bessie L. Wolken Tuebner, was born March 8, 1954, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, January 19, 2021, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-six years, ten months, and twelve days.
On April 10, 1971, she was united in marriage to Rev. Curtis Rentz, Sr., and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Curtis, on April 18, 2011; a granddaughter, Jamie Lee-Ann Rentz; a brother, James Edward Tuebner, Jr.; and a sister, Bertie Inman.
Patricia is survived by a daughter, Heather Mallette, and her husband, Dewey, of Marshall, Missouri; a son, Curtis Rentz, Jr., and his wife, Margie, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Josh, Ariel, Rebekah, Jessica and her significant other, Blane Dryer, and Mark; two sisters, Wanda Handley, of Wetumka, Oklahoma, and Joyce Light, of Camdenton, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon Schools. After she and Curtis were married, they made their home in Georgia until 1981, when they moved to the boot-heel of Missouri for several years. They then returned to Georgia for a number of years, later returning to the Lebanon area and once again made their home there. Patricia was always a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also was a very supportive minister’s wife. She also operated a home daycare business for several years.
Patricia made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was very active in the Church of God, where her husband pastored for several years. She possessed a deep abiding faith in God which she carried with her throughout her life.
She had a love for the mountains and enjoyed traveling whenever she could. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren.
Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Family graveside services will be Monday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. at Dotson Cemetery.
A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home.
