Patricia Ann "Patty" Jenkins (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Patricia Ann Jenkins, daughter of Harold and Edna Shields Lawton, was born, October 17, 1940 in Jackson County, Missouri. She departed this life, Saturday, October 5, 2013, in her home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of seventy-two years, eleven months and eighteen days.
She was united in marriage to Billy Gene Jenkins and to this union three children were born. She was also blessed with a step-son and a step-daughter. They shared many years of marriage until his passing on September 17, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Cathy Arnold.
Survivors include her daughters, Laura Cross and friend Brian Rogers of Camdenton, Missouri and Penny Ann Cross of Independence, Missouri; five grandchildren; a sister Brenda Canterbury of Kingsville, Missouri; two nephews and three nieces and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Patty was raised in the Kansas City area. After her marriage, they made their home in Independence, Missouri. She worked as a housekeeper for MCI Hospital and worked as a bar tender. She and Billy retired to the Lake of the Ozarks over twenty years ago.
She made a profession of faith and was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Climax Springs.
Patty was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making clothing, blankets and quilts. Most of all, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She created many wonderful memories for her family and friends and her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
