Patsy Kelley (Hartville)'s Obituary
Patsy Ann Kelley, daughter of Paul and Marie Russell, was born July 9, 1941 in Seymour, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, August 21, 2016, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years, one month, and thirteen days.
She was united in marriage to Donald Ray Kelley on May 16, 1970 and together they raised six children, three girls and three boys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister Joella Simpson, and grandson Taylor. She also had a very protective Chihuahua (Petey) and missed him greatly.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Don Kelley, of the home in Hartville, Missouri; three daughters, Carla Whyde and her husband Mark of Mansfield, Missouri, Terri and her fiancé, Jeff Hutson of Hartville, Missouri, and Shannon Kelley of the home; three sons, Mike Long and his wife Debbie of Hartville, Missouri, Mark Cooley and his wife Desiree of Mansfield, Missouri, and Donnie Kelley and his wife Susie of Mansfield, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Patsy was born in Seymour, Missouri and was raised in Carthage, Missouri by her grandparents, Charley and Lida Matney, later moving back to Seymour. After she was married, her and Don moved out to the farm where they would spend the next 43 years together. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant and enjoyed helping and caring for people all her life, especially after she retired and became a personal healthcare assistant. She helped numerous people throughout her life and loved every moment.
She enjoyed many hobbies, but here favorites were cooking, gardening, caring for her roses, and going to local yard sales and flea markets. She loved to collect antiques and proudly displayed them all in her home. She was loved by everyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Patsy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the many wonderful memories she created with them during her lifetime.
