Patti Swain (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Patti Kay Swain (Hogan), wife of Elmer E Swain (Deceased) passed away at home Monday morning March 9, 2026 at the age of 71, in Bolivar, MO after being sick and having upper respiratory issues. Patti Kay Swain was born October 2, 1954 in Barberton, Ohio to Charles Edward Hogan, Dolores (Allen) Hogan, along with 3 brothers Alan Hogan of Texas, Michael J Hogan of Missouri, Charles E. Hogan of Illinois, 2 Sisters Lisa Hood of Texas, Rebecca Mclean of Texas. Patti Swain is survived by 2 sons, Jessie Joe Swain of Tioga, ND and Billy Jack Swain of Clinton, OK; 2 daughters, Niesha Lynn (Swain) Bullard of Granbury, TX and Felisha Kay Oker and Brandon Oker of Bolivar, MO; 9 grandchildren, Sabrina Lee Rainey, Cody Bullard, Faithlynn Oker, AJ Oker, Kaden Oker, Braden Swain, Brooklyn Oden, Jennavive Isbell and Joshua Bryant; 5 great-grandchildren, Zayden Lee Berkley, Nxylynn Berkley, Sailor Shadwell, Maddilynn Shadwell and Isaasc Shadwell and several nieces and nephews. In the summer of 1970, Patti Hogan met the love of her life, Elmer E Swain. After dating for a while they ran off and got married on January, 15, 1971 in Mexico. The 2 of them loved to travel and move around from Mexico, New Mexico, Texas, Missouri, Virginia, North Dakota, Oklahoma to name a few. Patti Swain touched the hearts of many, for some she was family, friend to several and a mother figure to all. She would also take in any child that needed anything or a place to stay. Her house was always filled with laughter and happiness. Her passion was to be in the kitchen baking, anything from cookies to homemade bread. She loved to make quilts for loved ones. She loved to go fishing and spend time with her kids and grandkids, however most importantly she loved to spend time with the love of her life Elmer E Swain. She is loved by all and will truly be missed.
