Paul Alexander (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Paul Eugene Alexander, son of Ray and Floy M. Begley Alexander, was born April 19, 1929, near Sleeper, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, August 21, 2012, in Sleeper, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, four months, and two days.
On August 6, 1988, he was united in marriage to Judy Evelyn Woodcock, and they shared the last twenty-four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Alexander; a sister, Eunice Bilby; and a step-daughter, Christina.
Paul is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; a daughter, Karen Spaulding, and her husband, Ken, of Eureka, California; three grandchildren, James, Moria, and Krystal; three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Mason, and Makennan; three step-children, James McPherson, and his wife, Maureen, of San Diego, California, Thomas McPherson, of Eureka, California, and Jody McPherson, of Sweet Home, Oregon; four step-grandchildren, Brandon, Aidan, Brennan, and Liam; a brother, Francis Alexander, and his wife, Linda, of Sleeper, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was born and raised in the Sleeper and Stoutland, Missouri areas, and graduated from Stoutland High School. He then made his home in northern California where he worked for Arcada Redwood Logging Company for thirty-seven years. After retiring, he and Judy moved to the Sleeper community and made their home.
Paul had a passion for working on lawn mowers, and was known in the Lebanon area as “the lawn mower man”. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing and trap shooting. He was a quiet man with a kind heart, and dearly loved his dog, “Little”.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
