Paul Dean Berry (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Paul Dean Berry, son of Charley and Margaret Lilly Wilson Berry, was born July 2, 1939, near Brice, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, October 30, 2010, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, three months, and twenty-eight days.
On June 30, 1984, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Jo Caudle, and they shared the last twenty-six years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Paul D. “Pete” Berry, Jr.; and two brothers, Jessie and Lester Berry.
Paul is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of the home; a daughter, Patricia Dawn Jones, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Lonnie Henderson, and his wife, Donna, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Courtney, Shane, Billi Jo, Ashley, and Brandon; a great-granddaughter, Kaylee; a brother, Eugene Berry, of Big Spring, Texas; two sisters, Inez Barnes, of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Irene Parish, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Wilma Caudle, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Flatwoods community and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He then made his home in the Lebanon area and worked for Detroit Tool Company for twenty-five years. After he and Bonnie were married, they made their home near Lebanon.
He greatly enjoyed playing pool and poker, and was well known in the Springfield area for having won numerous awards and trophies in pool competitions. He loved to travel and had been to Las Vegas ten times. He also enjoyed trips to Cancun and the Bahamas. He liked cars, particularly street rods, and was very proud of his antique 1936 Plymouth. He had a delightful personality and a unique sense of humor, which he enjoyed sharing with his family and friends. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
