Paul Findley (Mansfield) 's Obituary
Paul J. Findley, son of Kingsley Carson and Della Mae Smith Findley, was
born May 18, 1922 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on December
25, 2013 in his home near Mansfield, Missouri at the age of ninety-one years,
seven months and seven days.
He was united in marriage to Eva Sue Gaskill on February 19, 1950 and to this
union four children were born.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sue on October 12, 1999, five brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Rick Findley and his wife, Lyn of Forsyth, Missouri
and Gale Findley of Mansfield, Missouri; two daughters, Vickie Kensinger and her
husband, Dave of Seymour, Missouri and Judy Starrett and her husband Scott of
Forsyth, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Betty
Skipworth and her husband, Percy of Rogersville, Missouri; sister-in-law, Alice
Findley of Mansfield, Missouri as well as several nieces and nephews other
relatives and many friends.
Paul was born, raised and lived all of his life in the Mansfield area. He was a
graduate of Mansfield High School in the Class of 1940. He then served his
country faithfully in the United States Army during WWII and was a retired dairy
farmer.
Paul had made a profession of faith in Christ many years ago and was a
member of the Lead Hill Freewill Baptist Church. In recent years he had been
attending the Mansfield Church of the Nazarene. He was also a 50 member of
the Norwood Lodge #622 A.F. & A.M.
In his spare time he loved fox trotter horses, quail hunting and fishing.
Paul was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a
caring neighbor and friend. We will cherish the memories and many laughs we
had with him.
