Paul Gage (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Virgil Paul Gage, son of Virgil and Bertha Henson Gage, was born October 25, 1934, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, March 19, 2016, in Golden Living Center in Independence, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, four months, and twenty five days.
On December 31, 1984, he was united in marriage to Aurelia Aponte and they shared the last thirty-one years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Burley Don Gage; and two sisters, Pauline Harrison, and Ethel Archer.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Aurelia, of the home; his daughters, Kim Sanders, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Tammy Hildebrand, of Osage Beach, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Paula, Matthew and Kelsey; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale Gage, of St. Louis, Missouri; special family members, Justin, Kassandra, Riley and Brody Buscher, all of Blue Springs, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He worked for a number of years as a roofer at Stiles Roofing in Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoyed listening to bluegrass music. Paul was always willing to lend a helping hand and he greatly enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. His children considered him to be the “perfect” dad.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories he created for them during his lifetime.
